Outreach
At Dress for Success Western Australia, we’re committed to reaching women wherever they are — not just in Perth. That’s why several times a year, we take our volunteers and services on the road to regional communities across the state.
From Geraldton to Kalgoorlie, our regional Outreach trips deliver free styling sessions, career support, and confidence-boosting tools to women in need. Our van is packed with clothing and resources to provide the same quality of service our Perth clients receive — no matter the postcode.
Satellites
We’re evolving our outreach model to better meet the needs of regional women. Rather than occasional visits, we’re establishing regular, monthly styling services in Geraldton and Northam, with plans to reach more women in the Wheatbelt, Gascoyne, and beyond.
This shift is about more than frequency — it’s about impact, sustainability, and community connection. By embedding services directly into regional towns, we’re creating lasting pathways to employment, self-sufficiency, and purpose — while also boosting local economies and volunteerism.
Why it matters
Empowering regional women
By delivering more consistent support to regional communities, we create greater access to jobs, services, and opportunities. Through practical, confidence-building programs, we help women overcome barriers to employment and build brighter futures locally.
Strengthening communities through local collaboration
By partnering with local organisations like Short Back & Sidewalks and training regional volunteers, we foster true community ownership, deliver more holistic support, and reduce reliance on long, potentially unsafe road trips from Perth.
Building a sustainable future
Our shift toward locally led service delivery reduces our environmental footprint and strengthens long-term impact. By embedding support structures directly into regional communities, we ensure more sustainable, accessible services for generations to come.
