Recently, our CEO Natalie was invited to join Candid Conversations, a podcast hosted by Shaun Pianta from atWork Australia, to talk about how Dress for Success Western Australia is helping women across the state feel confident, job-ready and supported through every step of their employment journey.
It was a heartfelt conversation that reminded us why we do what we do.
Confidence First, Then Everything Else Follows
We often say that we’re not just about clothing, and Natalie shared exactly why. While our personal styling sessions are a big part of what we offer, it’s never just about the outfit. It’s about what happens when a woman looks in the mirror and starts to see herself differently.
As Natalie shared on the podcast, “Sometimes all it takes is someone believing in you — someone to say, ‘You’ve got this.’” That belief can come from a well-fitted blazer, a warm smile at reception, or a coach who takes the time to really listen.
From career coaching and interview prep to our confidence-building workshops, our services are designed to help women walk into their next opportunity with their head held high.
Real Support for Real Women
We work with women from all walks of life. Women who are returning to work, navigating career change, seeking asylum, rebuilding after crisis or simply needing a fresh start. Many of them are carrying the weight of tough experiences. What we aim to do is lighten that load, even just a little.
As Natalie mentioned, “The strength is already there. Our role is to remind them of it.”
Hearing stories of women leaving their appointment with a new sense of purpose, standing taller, speaking more confidently, believing in themselves again — that is what drives us every single day.
Powered by Community
It’s a joy to work alongside organisations like atWork Australia who share our commitment to empowering women into employment. Together, we can offer more holistic, thoughtful support that helps women thrive not just in the job market, but in life.
We’re also incredibly proud to be powered by an amazing network of volunteers, donors and supporters. Every piece of clothing, every hour of time, every dollar donated — it all adds up to real impact.
